VISION
Positive energy vortexes spiral upward in a clockwise motion and create an enhancing flow of energy that promotes delta brain wave activity. A positive vortex is often referred to as “a place where heaven meets earth.” Throughout history druids, priests, and shamans believed that spending time in a positive vortex could enhance meditation and creativity and lead to experiences of spiritual awakening, enlightenment, and self-realization.

NATURAL HEALING AND DISEASE PREVENTION
Vortex retreats we utilize indigenous medicine practices and natural healing modalities from around the world to address sickness and disease on a variety of levels, from psycho-spiritual to somatic. In our experience, this approach to healing sicknesses and diseases targets the root of the dysfunctional conditions and eliminates them at their source, rather than merely addressing symptoms. Today, more than any other time in history, the world needs viable models for this type of comprehensive healing.
STEWARDSHIP & ECO-REGENERATIVE LIVING
Vortex retreats is committed to the preservation of natural resources and restoration of degraded landscapes, as well as to permaculture and natural farming techniques that create vibrant, local food economies. Our food forests and gardens serve as an educational model for others to replicate, provide an example of how to live in harmonious relationship with Pachamama (Mother Earth), and help to sustain our community. Our land-based community in Peru is a sanctuary where we put these values into practice and embody a holistic model for the world.
